Kevin Pineda Gould is an identity-driven storyteller who wields photography like a prism—bending personal truth into collective light. A Mexican-American creative shaped by discovery and reinvention, Gould crafts personal images with poetry and intentionality, grounded in a deep sense of purpose. Formally trained in classical piano, music composition, and film production, his creative journey into photography began in earnest during the 2020 lockdown. In documenting the rapidly changing city, Gould discovered a new visual language — one that explores the relationship between people and environment, balancing the documentary with the dreamlike.
His work has earned international recognition, including two solo exhibitions in SoHo, NYC, an award from The Independent Photographer and a feature in Black+White Photography Magazine. Gould’s photographs have been published in Vogue, showcased by Leica Camera, and celebrated widely on social media.
His first book, Discovering Light, set in the aftermath of a pandemic-defined era, offers a poetic visual journey through monochrome street photography. Independently published, the book has garnered worldwide acclaim, with copies sold in over 25 countries and throughout the United States.
Through photography workshops and mentorship, Kevin empowers emerging photographers to discover their unique voice within the dynamic urban landscape.
