Formally trained in music composition, Kevin P. Gould's interest for street photography flourished in New York City after moving from Mexico in 2018. Gould’s journey into street photography stemmed from his search for creative expression during the pandemic lockdown of 2020, while documenting the quickly changing nature of the city. His style blends candid city-dwelling moments with chiaroscuro-filled cinematic compositions. Gould’s first solo art show debuted at the Peak Design store in SoHo, NYC, in 2023, and since then his body of work has garnered worldwide attention through social media. Gould's work was awarded in the 2024 Black-and-White Street Photography Awards from The Independent Photographer by renowned Magnum Photographer Nikos Economopoulos. His monochrome work has also gained the recognition from brands such as Leica Camera.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Gould advocates for the power of visual storytelling. He conducts street photography workshops and shares his experiences with aspiring photographers, encouraging them to find their unique perspectives within city life. Frame by frame, Kevin P. Gould has become a narrator of the city's stories bringing to the forefront its often overlooked faces.
